🛎️ Tebi raises €30M, Cloudbeds builds alliances and Mews tips feature takes off

Also, HCN acquires Crave and RoomRaccoon launches a revenue copilot

Hi friends, welcome to RemoteHotelier. This week we’re seeing AI everywhere. Cloudbeds joins forces with Canary Technologies, one of Mews latest feature is blowing past 5 million weekly views and RoomRaccoon is introducing a new AI revenue tool. And that’s just the start.

Let’s check in on what’s new in hotel tech this week.

🤝 Cloudbeds and Canary partner to improve guest experience

After last week’s announcement, Cloudbeds keeps expanding its ecosystem with a fresh alliance with Canary Technologies. Together, they want to offer hotels more seamless tools for guest experience and operational efficiency.

The partnership will integrate Canary’s solutions (mobile check-in, upsells, guest messaging, etc.) into the Cloudbeds platform.

I find this interesting because Cloudbeds is clearly leaning into an open ecosystem approach, which is becoming a winning strategy across the PMS space.

💰 Tebi secures €30M fresh capital

Tebi, a Dutch fintech startup focused on hospitality, secured a €30 million investment from CapitalG to expand its back office automation tools for hotels.

The platform already helps clients streamline invoicing and payments while improving cost visibility.

The new funds will be used to grow the team and enhance the product.

As the pressure to improve margins continues, this could save hoteliers real money and time because plenty of inefficiencies still happen behind the scenes.

🚀 HCN buys Crave and launches AI concierge for hotels

Big week for Hotel Communication Network (HCN). The company acquired Crave Interactive, known for its in-room tablets, and also launched a new AI concierge platform.

CEO Kevin Bidner says the goal is to turn guest-facing technology into a revenue driver, not just a service tool.

This is an intriguing approach because they use a model based on ads, which is fairly new in hotel tech. It could open up new monetization opportunities, but only if the guest experience doesn’t get compromised. Or in other words, making sure the ads are helpful and not intrusive.

Looking forward to seeing real results of hotels adopting this model.

🦝 RoomRaccoon launches new AI revenue tool

RoomRaccoon is bringing AI to revenue management. The company announced an upcoming AI-powered revenue copilot designed to help hoteliers make smarter pricing decisions.

It will provide real-time insights and recommendations on rates, aiming to give smaller properties the kind of tools typically used by larger chains.

CEO Tymen van Dyl says that timing is everything. Here you can see his own words about this.

I think this is great news for independent hotels and small groups. Many don’t have the resources for using RMS platforms, so tools like this can help level the playing field and boost profitability. An AI assistant that works within the PMS can make a big difference without adding complexity.

I’m very curious to see how this tool performs in the field.

💵 Mews sees fast adoption of its Smart Tips tool

Mews just hit an impressive milestone: its AI-powered Smart Tips are now viewed over 5 million times per week.

Smart Tips recommends personalized tips at key points in the guest journey, such as online check-in and payment.

CEO Matthijs Welle says the tool is driving more engagement and revenue for hotels. I think this is a great example of how AI can improve both guest experience and profitability.

The strong adoption also shows that guests are responding positively to this type of interaction, which is encouraging for other upsell and personalization initiatives.

That’s a wrap for today, thank you for reading.
