Hi, I’m Jose 👋

That’s me in 2017, still working at Ibis while studying Computer Engineering, and getting ready to move to the UK a few months later.

I’ve spent more than a decade between hotel operations and hotel technology for major brands like Accor.

I know how it feels having to work with old systems that don’t talk to each other while the phone is ringing non-stop.

After years in hotel operations, I transitioned into hotel tech, managing PMS migrations, POS integrations, and much more. And after seeing both sides of the industry, something became painfully clear:

Everything is scattered.

People don’t have time to follow every trend.

Vendors don’t always understand what hotels actually need.

And everyone ends up overwhelmed by information that should be helping them, not slowing them down.

So why does RemoteHotelier exist?

If you work in hotels or hotel tech, you already know the problem.

New tools, integrations, AI, automation… every week there’s something new to learn. And the information is spread across multiple sources.

I wanted one place where you could get clear and practical insights without wasting hours searching for them.

A weekly summary that cuts through noise. Something you can read in under four minutes and walk away informed.

RemoteHotelier exists to give you clarity. If you want simple, practical, and honest hotel tech insights, you’re in the right place.

I used to look after the technology for a portfolio of 56 hotels from this little corner.

And this is my desk, the place where I put the newsletter together every week. It’s not usually this tidy, if I’m honest.
